Destroying America one Friend at a time!

Is America A Declining Power?

Its Friends Think So and They Are Scared

by Barry Rubin of The Rubin Reports

“What do you think,” asked the reporter, “about the U.S. pressure on China?”

Puzzled, I responded, “What pressure on China?”

And then I realized what he meant. Like many observers, especially those in the Third World, he thinks U.S. policy is tightly coordinated. The e-mails also implied that such a ceremony would be frowned upon by President Barack Obama who is attempting to strengthen the U.S. ties to Muslim nations.

The likelihood of such a ceremony taking place was also the subject of a flurry of internal embassy e-mails, in which US officials scrambled to find out where and when a commemoration of the assassinated far-right-wing rabbi would occur.
