NEW REPORT CONTAINS SHATTERING STATISTICS

by Michael Travis of thelastcrusade.org

The 2010 Yearbook of American and Canadian Churches , published by the National Council of Churches, appeared in bookstores today with shattering statistics on the state of Christianity in America.

Of the 25 leading denominations, only four managed to post modest gains; the others continue to decline at precipitous rates.

The Presbyterian Church USA is down 3.28% to 2.9 million members; the American Baptists down 2% to 1.3 million, and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America diown 1.92% to 4.7 million.

The United Church of Christ, President Obama’s denomination, posted a loss of 3% and membership of 1,100,000. Fifty years ago, when this denomination was formed, it boasted a membership of 5,600,000 members.

Even the Southern Baptists Church, once a bastion of conservative Christianity, displayed a decline of .24 percent with a total memberships of 16.2 million.

Roman Catholics, the nation’s largest Christian denomination, grew 1.5% to 68 million members. But this growth was reflective of the mass migration of Latinos to the US and not a ground-swelling of American converts. Click here to read the entire article…

Obama’s New Year Gift to the Saudi King

by Nonie Darwish of FormerMuslimsUnited.org

Islam is in trouble at the heart of its birthplace, Saudi Arabia, and consequently in other Muslim countries. Muslim leaders and media are desperately trying to regain control both internally and externally. Muslims are starting to openly and defiantly question; while the international image of Islam is being tarnished daily with every act of terror, hate speech and calls for jihad from the pulpits of mosques. The traditional open calls for violence and jihad Islam got away with for centuries is now under scrutiny especially after 9/11. Islam is now under the microscope. That is the quagmire of Muslims today. How can they continue teaching their basic religious jihad education but still save face and Islam’s reputation in a culture where image and honor is everything. Is America A Declining Power?

Its Friends Think So and They Are Scared

by Barry Rubin of The Rubin Reports

“What do you think,” asked the reporter, “about the U.S. pressure on China?”

Puzzled, I responded, “What pressure on China?”

And then I realized what he meant. Like many observers, especially those in the Third World, he thinks U.S. policy is tightly coordinated. In other words, he thinks that the United States was about to sell arms to Beijing’s rival, Taiwan, and have the Dalai Lama, who claims to be the rightful ruler of Chinese-occupied Tibet, come to Washington as part of a grand scheme to force China into supporting sanctions against Iran.

This is, partly, where conspiracy theories come from, assuming that every step taken by the United States is carefully planned out and that every event in the world—given American power—is part of a larger scheme. Why believe that the United States itself blew up the World Trade Center? Based on the assumption that the United States is too strong, its intelligence too good, to let a bunch of barely trained terrorists enter country, board planes, and fly them into its tallest building. The Point of No Return Is Now

The Point of No Return:

Clearly the Obama Administration

Won’t Ever Do Anything Serious

Against Iran’s Nuclear Program

by Barry Rubin of the Rubin Reports

We must now face an extremely unpleasant truth: even giving the Obama Administration every possible break regarding its Iran policy it is now clear that the U.S. government isn’t going to take strong action on the nuclear weapons issue.

Note that I didn’t even say “effective” action, that is, measures which would force Iran to back down. I’m neither advocating nor do I think there was ever any possibility that the United States, even under Obama’s predecessor, might take military action.

I’m saying that they aren’t even going to make a good show of trying seriously to do anything at all. Click here to read the entire article…

Only Time Will Tell

A NEW “HOPE AND CHANGE” IS COMING

We Did It Once – We Can Do It Again!

by Randy Wyles of specialopsandnews.com

On a cold, wet, blustery day in March 1775, Saint John’s Church in Richmond, Virginia was packed. The members of the somber gathering knew the matters before them carried far reaching and dire consequences. The Second Virginia Convention had convened to consider the undeniable set of circumstances that all pointed to one thing – war with Britain. To many, it appeared unavoidable. To others, it seemed unimaginable.

A good many felt that there was still a chance, a ray of hope – if England would only show some kind of concession. Then Patrick Henry stood and delivered an unfettered indictment of the Crown and Parliament in a speech spelling out the simple truths of what he called the “Illusions of Hope” – declaring, “I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!”

We’ve suffered under the Obama “illusions of hope” for more than a year now – “Hope and Change” – the battle cry of those misguided few who “knew” what America needed. Click here to read the entire article…

CHRISTIAN ANTI-DEFAMATION LEAGUE CONDEMNS OBAMA’S NEW HATE-CRIMES LAW

NEW LEGISLATION THREATENS CHRISTIAN ACTIVISTS

NO FREEDOM OF SPEECH FOR PROPONENTS OF TRADITIONAL MORALITY

by Michael Travis of thelastcrusade.org

The Christian Anti-Defamation League has named the new federal hate crimes law the number one anti-Christian act of 2009

Attorneys who defend religious rights agree: The recently enacted hate-crimes law is a threat to religious liberty.

“The very fact that this law elevates ‘sexual orientation’ and ‘gender identity’ to the same protected status as race – that in and of itself is a cataclysmic shift in policy,” says gender identity, president of the religious liberty law firm Liberty Counsel and dean of the Liberty University Law School.

“That will have a ripple effect far beyond the specific words of this bill,” Mr. Stayer adds. “That is contrary to our Judeo-Christian heritage and beliefs, far beyond any particular disclaimer that it is not going to affect speech.” Click here to read the entire article…

OBAMA AUTHORIZES MILITARY OCCUPATION OF HAITI

MORE QUESTIONS REGARDING U.S. INVASION

10,000 AMERICAN SOLDIERS DEPLOYED

by Michael Travis of thelastcrusade.org

Why are U.S. troops now occupying Haiti?

Why are American soldiers wandering through the streets of Port-au-Prince with assault trifles?

Why are U.S. air traffick controllers manning the Haitian airport to prevent planes from landing with vital medical supplies?

These questions are being raised by European and Latin American officials as thousands of American troops flood into the island country to take charge of aid efforts and security.

10,000 U.S. troops have been deployed to the island.

Executive Order Amended to Immunize INTERPOL In America – Is The ICC Next?

by Steve Schippert, Clyde Middleton of ThreatsWatch.org

Last Thursday, December 17, 2009, The White House released an Executive Order “Amending Executive Order 12425.” It grants INTERPOL (International Criminal Police Organization) a new level of full diplomatic immunity afforded to foreign embassies and select other “International Organizations” as set forth in the United States International Organizations Immunities Act of 1945.

By removing language from President Reagan’s 1983 Executive Order 12425, this international law enforcement body now operates – now operates – on American soil beyond the reach of our own top law enforcement arm, the FBI, and is immune from Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA) requests. Boring Press Conference?

Boring Press Conference?

No, Gold Mine for Understanding

U.S. Middle East Policy

by Barry Rubin of the Rubin Reports

What could be more boring, you might ask, then a press conference following the meeting between Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Qatar Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabr al-Thani? Well, a little document like this is a gold mine of interesting stuff that either won’t be covered or won’t be understood in the mass media.

Qatar, though tiny, is a very interesting country. On one hand, it hosts al-Udayd air base which is vital for the U.S. presence in the Gulf. On the other hand, it hosts and owns al-Jazira television which incites anti-Americanism. To make matters worse, Qatar has been the Gulf Arab state closest to Iran, which hosted the anti-American and radical summit led by the Iran-Syria bloc.

So Qatar is hedging its bets rather well. In public, Hillary isn’t going to complain about this stuff. Did she do so in the private meeting? Perhaps, though the jollity of al-Thani, a member of the ruling family, seems to belie any tough words from the secretary of state. But this is going too far:

“Qatar is a friend and an ally of the United States, and the partnership between our two countries is a model of the new beginning based on mutual respect and mutual interest that President Obama called for in Cairo.” Click here to read the entire article…

Beware of Census 2010

Criminals in our midst…

Just think only 3 more years of Obama!

Oh did I mention Happy new year?

Happy New Year everyone!

by Jim Turner

Now that 2010 has finally reached us, so has the time for the wonderful U.S. census data gathering ploy. Luckily for us Americans this year will not only bring more honesty, I-I mean corruption from the occupants of the White House, but also the opportunity to feel firsthand the corruption stemming from the affiliates of Obama’s unknown appointed army of Census gathering workers.

Unknowns that were hired even though 36,000 of them had botched fingerprint checks and over 200 with possible violent criminal records. Click here to read the entire article…
