This is a long Article, But worth it!
Verse Comparison in second half of article!
As of late, our team here at the Chronicle Watch has been researching the different Bible versions that exists on the market today. We have been buying and comparing multiple copies of different versions verses by verse. As we find the differences, we take note then dive down into the Greek and Hebrew meaning of the words in order to understand the differences of translation.
In addition to the changes that we find, we have also been encountering section of verses stripped completely out of certain Bibles ( more on this later ).
One issue we will be sharing with you shortly is about is a Professor named Virginia Ramey Mollenkott who has advocated for LGBT rights and Christian feminism. In addition, she has also contributed major studies on the feminine imagery for God in the Bible, and is in support of gender inclusive language for the scriptures.
With that being said, Virginia Ramey Mollenkott also served as a stylistic consultant for the New International Version of the Bible and is an active member of the Evangelical and Ecumenical Women’s Caucus and Christian Lesbians OUT.
What we would like to share with you now is some interesting information we came across by an author by the name of Carl Graham.
Before you start, make sure you have a copy of your Bible in hand in order to cross reference everything you come across in any of the articles we post in regards to the scriptures. Click here to read the entire article…
ELCA Throws Out The Bible

We don't need the Bible...
Out With Scripture!
It’s Official
LUTHERANS ABANDON BIBLE
Martin Luther launched the Reformation with the cry “sola scriptura,” meaning scripture alone is the final authority in doctrinal matters.
But the leaders of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) have opted to cast scripture aside when it comes to decisions concerning gays, lesbians, and trans-genders.
In a December 7 town hall, ELCA Bishop Mark Hanson said, “The understanding we have of homosexuality today does not seem to be reflected at all in the context of the biblical writers.” Therefore, he added, Lutherans should adopt more modern views on sexual orientation and sexual preference.
At its annual convention in August, the ELCA lifted its ban on partnered gay and lesbian clergy, prompting some traditional congregations to withhold funds and begin forming a separate denomination.
But Bishop Hanson insisted the ELCA can accommodate both views. In his words, “God is still speaking to us.”
He also suggested that more homosexual-friendly policies may help the denomination grow.

Speak of Sin; Land in Jail
Welcome to Post Christian America
by Dr. Paul L. Williams
A Christian evangelist who was once arrested, incarcerated, and charged under Pennsylvania’s hate crimes law says the federal hate crimes bill that has been signed into law by President Obama is the most dangerous laws in the history of the United States.
The Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act, which was signed into law yesterday, creates additional penalties for violent crimes motivated by the victim’s “actual or perceived” gender, “gender identity,” sexual orientation, or disability.

What Should Faithful Lutherans in the ELCA Do?

With a process that gives new meaning to the expression “stacked deck,” the ELCA Churchwide Assembly in August 2009 voted to allow for the blessing of homosexual unions and the rostering of pastors in homosexual relationships. I salute the efforts of the renewal group Lutheran CORE, which courageously fought against the homosexualist agenda at the assembly (I had the great privilege of addressing them). Just this past weekend they had a meeting attended by 1200 persons that began the process of defining a new vision and structure for those who recognize the ELCA’s hard-left departure from normative Christian faith and practice.
How should faithful Lutherans—that is, Lutherans who affirm the male-female requirement for sexual unions so important to Jesus and the scriptural witness to him—deal with these new heretical and immoral actions? In particular, do the recent actions of the Churchwide Assembly justify beginning a trajectory that will lead eventually to disaffiliation with the denominational structure known as the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America? Let me suggest a syllogism that goes something like this:

No More Muslim Sexual Stereotyping

Warning.
If you are employed by airport security, do not frisk terror suspects with mustaches in women’s garb.
If you work for Homeland Security, do not pat down Middle Easterners with pointed objects protruding from their full length black burqas.
Should the Muslims in questions be men in drag or trans-genders, you may be dragged before the international court of law at The Hague for a human rights violation.

America’s New Holiday
by Dr. Paul L. Williams
Public school students throughout California will be celebrating May 22 as a new holiday.
On this day, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the creator of Sherlock Holmes, was born. As was Sir Laurence Oliver, arguably the world’s greatest artist.
Richard Wagner, the great composer, was born on May 22 but his music will not be played for the students in commemoration of his works.
Nor will Tommy Franks, the Yankee pitcher, be honored on this day, let alone St. Rita of Cascia, the patron of desperate causes.

The Silence of the Lambs – – Obama Style
Farewell, Free Speech – – Part 991
by Dr. Paul L. Williams
So much for free speech and 1st Amendment rights.
A hate crimes bill, which was passed by the U.S. Senate on Thursday and sent to President Obama for his signature, will serve to muzzle Christian writers, preachers, and teachers who still possess the temerity to advocate Biblical values.
Mr. Obama has made a pledge to the gay and lesbian community that the bill will become law before the end of October.
Matt Barber, an attorney for Liberty Counsel, says that the President desires to “throw a bone to homosexual activists because they have been breathing down his neck…and this is a way to hold them off.”

Continued Attacks on Christian and Family Values by Obama

When does the madness end?
by Mr. H
The corrupt madness never ceases when it comes to this abhorrent administration and their flagrant policies against the Lord Jesus Christ.
Everything that is for God, Mr. Obama is against. The steps in which Mr. Obama takes are reckless in nature without any regard to biblical Christian values.
First Mr. Obama tries to pass the Pedophile Protecting Hate Bill ( HR1913 and s.990 ), and now he is yet again looking to destroy Christian values and business owners ( H.R. 3017 ).
Obama Legislation Set to Strip Christians and Business Owners of Constitutional Rights
The House Committee on Education and Labor will hold a hearing on H.R. 3017, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), an LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) piece of legislation designed to strip all American business owners of their First Amendment rights.
…The Employment Non-Discrimination Act is designed to make homosexuals, bisexuals, drag queens, cross-dressers and transsexuals into federally-protected minority groups. Once enacted, the latest legislation from the Obama Administration will produce the following results…

First the Episcopalians, now the Lutherans, who’s next?
August 19, 2009 by Jean-Paul Gilbert
Continuing the trend toward disregarding the Bible in favor of liberalized social trends, the largest Lutheran denomination in the United States is considering allowing ministers to engage in open homosexual relationships. Fox News reports that the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) is debating a proposal that would allow congregations to hire open, practicing homosexuals as clergy. The first hurdle was cleared when a motion to require a supermajority vote was defeated.
This debate clearly demonstrates the pitfalls of allowing church teaching on social issues and morality to be subject to the voting process. Let’s start with the most obvious point: there is no Biblical basis for allowing God’s Word to be subject to a vote. God commands us to follow his Word; He doesn’t ask us if we would like to. In Exodus 20:1-17, God delivered the Ten Commandments to the Jews through Moses; He didn’t offer us Ten Suggestions. Note the use of words like commands and delivers. These words show us who is in control. It is not us.
