Triple Cross: How bin Laden’s Master Spy Penetrated the CIA, the Green Berets, and the FBI by Peter Lance

Synopsis

“A chilling account of a killer who slipped through the hands of a daft justice system….Triple Cross chronicles one of the most vicious spies of our time.” —Toronto Sun

In the years prior to 2001, no single agent of al Qaeda was more successful in compromising the U.S. intelligence community than Ali Mohamed. For almost two decades the former Egyptian army commando succeeded in living a double life—marrying an American woman, becoming a naturalized citizen, and infiltrating the CIA in Europe, the Green Berets at Fort Bragg, and the FBI in California—even as he helped orchestrate the campaign of terror that culminated in the 9/11 attacks.

A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23 ( Book Review )

Book Review: A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23
by W. Phillip Keller
Amazon.com

If you want a new and exciting way to look at this passage in the bible, I would highly recommend this book. This book takes you on a journey through the eyes of a Sheppard, eyes unseen by most of us who are living in cities and never been accustomed to life on a ranch or farm.

I don’t want to say too much about this book as I do not want to give away the beauty of how it was written, but if you really want to understand the context of how David was thinking as he wrote this beautiful Psalm, I would again buy this book!

The book is broken down into twelve chapters:

Psalm 23 A Psalm of David.

  1. The LORD is my shepherd;
  2. I shall not want.
  3. He makes me lie down in green pastures.
  4. He leads me beside still waters.
  5. He restores my soul.
  6. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
  7. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
  8. your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
  9. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
  10. you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
  11. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
  12. and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Each chapter is full of eye opening insight, and if you are like me, you probably never read the passage with the eyes of a Sheppard, but rather with eyes of someone who has never had the experience of watching over a flock through thick and thin by;

  • Protecting them
  • Keeping them safe from predators and themselves
  • Nourishing them
  • Being attentive to their every need and desire

After reading this book, I now have a new perspective on what being a Sheppard truly is, and this has allowed me to see even more clearly of how we as Christian are suppose to live each and every day.

Once you pick up this book I can guarantee you that you will have a hard time putting it down.

I am truly grateful I have found this wonderful treasure to add to my collection.

God bless…

Three Books

come to your own conclusions earnestly…

If you want a deep understanding of end time prophecy and a view point from the Middle East, I would strongly urge you to read these three books in the following order.

Antichrist: Islam’s Awaited Messiah
www.amazon.com
Why I Left Jihad: The Root of Terrorism and the Return of Radical Islam
www.amazon.com
God’s War on Terror: Islam, Prophecy and the Bible
www.amazon.com

You will learn a lot from these books.

In order to know if the information was true or false one of the things I did when reading these books was to cross reference and search other information about the topics that were discussed.

I will not go into much detail about the information in the books as I think it would be a great disservice to you as I believe you need to research and study for yourself in order to draw your own conclusions.

While searching for different Bibles, I came across this resource that has different reading plans to help you study Gods word.

I have looked at a few of them and they seem to be very well thought out.

The Holy Bible: English Standard Version, Journaling Bible (Original, Black)

Christian Book.com

I recently purchased the black original and the leather flap edition of these ESV Journaling Bibles and I have to say that they are just simply amazing.

Beautiful quality and well made. During my research before purchasing one I have read that the font was a little too small, but after having the Bible for a few days now it really is not that hard to read at all.

The margin space is more than adequate for note taking and the lined column make it nice to keep the notes well organized.

So far I have only used a pencil for note taking. The pencil erases easy and very cleanly. Once thing I noticed however if that if you erase a to hard be very careful as it can lift the text a little.

This is the first Bible I ever written in and I simply love it!!!! From this point forward I will most likely only buy Bibles with spaces to write in for note taking as I now realize the value in being able to do so.

Man have I been missing out!

If you are looking for a Bible that you can take with you on your travels, in your purse, laptop case or briefcase, I would definitely buy one of these.

I have to give these amazing little tools 5 stars! There is nothing negative I can say about them.

After a few months of note taking I will report on how it is holding up, but as for now, all I can say is that I am extremely happy and delighted with purchasing the ESV Journaling Bible!
