Isaiah 7:14 “A” or “The”, which is it?

What is it going to be?
The Truth Shall Set You Free
In order to see if making seemingly trivial changes to the scriptures really makes a difference, let us look at the two articles “a” and “the”.
I will present to you the effects of this change.
By using the article “the” in conjunction with an item, it implies that the item discussed must be known; we must know the exact item in which we are discussing.
On the other hand, if we used the article “a” in conjunction with an item, it would imply any item; an item that is not defined or known; any item will suffice.
For example, if I asked you to please mail me “the” book, then without hesitation you would grab “the” book from your shelf, pack it in a box, and ship it promptly as you would know which book to send.
However, if I asked you to send me “a” book, you would do one of the following:
1. You would ask me which book I would like you to send.
2. You would send me any book which you saw fit.
Those are the options. Click here to read the entire article…
Proverbs 24:16 – The Modern Twist
July 16, 2010 by Mike Hernandez

Or is it?
The Modern Twist Indeed
With each of the different modern bible translations on the market today, they corrupt this verse by removing accountability from the person that falls into mischief willfully, and instead places blame directly on the condition that surrounds them. This change therefore allows the individual an excuse for their actions, and removes blame due to their wicked intentions.
For these individuals who wish to claim ignorance in the sight of God, they will be in for a rude awakening on the Day of Judgment as God does not excuse ignorance, and they will be judged.
With that being said let’s look at the changes in this verse in detail. Before we do however, we need to understand that mischief is defined by ones behavior, whereas calamity is based on a situation or event that occurs.
calamity
n. pl. ca·lam·i·ties
1. An event that brings terrible loss, lasting distress, or severe affliction; a disaster: A hurricane would be a calamity for this low-lying coastal region.
2. Dire distress resulting from loss or tragedy.
mischief
n.
1. Behavior that causes discomfiture or annoyance in another.
2. An inclination or tendency to play pranks or cause embarrassment.
3. One that causes minor trouble or disturbance: The child was a mischief in school.
4. Damage, destruction, or injury caused by a specific person or thing

Know Jesus, no rules, right?

I am fine, I done did that. I believe, so now I can live like the devil!
Really? Well if you read a bible based on Alexandrian Text then unfortunately yes, but you better think again…
What is the condition for no condemnation according to Romans 8:1?
According to the NIV, ESV, NASB absolutely nothing, just believe and live your life as a devil.
Unfortunately that verse has been corrupted with modern versions.
What is actually states is:
Romans 8:1 KJV There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
No condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus, who WALK NOT after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Don’t know how much more clear that can be.

Is Ignorance an excuse in your Modern Bible?

Does not work with God - Ignorance is no excuse!
The answer really depends
On which Bible you are reading.
Or should I say -
The English Standard Version ( ESV )
Mistranslations Take #1678
As you spend time deep inside the Word of God, yearning to know how one should live righteously before your Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, it can be frustrating and downright disheartening when you come across a passage that has been mistranslated either on purpose ( Westcott and Hort ), or through sheer ignorance.
Yet, we will see that according to the Word of God ignorance is not an excuse one can claim – even if the sin committed was not realized at the time of the transgression.
What exactly do I mean?

Today’s world of economic collapse

Robbing Peter to Pay Paul
The Corrupt Flourish
The Rich get Richer
And the poor Die
In today’s world of economic collapse, government bailouts, corrupt governments and leaders, these versus really stood out.
If we as a society would only obey the word of God, imagine what those who purposely stole from others would do instead of taking? They would think twice before they acted in their vile and corrupt ways.
Leviticus 6:1-5 NASB Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, (2) “When a person sins and acts unfaithfully against the LORD, and deceives his companion in regard to a deposit or a security entrusted to him, or through robbery, or if he has extorted from his companion, (3) or has found what was lost and lied about it and sworn falsely, so that he sins in regard to any one of the things a man may do; (4) then it shall be, when he sins and becomes guilty, that he shall restore what he took by robbery or what he got by extortion, or the deposit which was entrusted to him or the lost thing which he found, (5) or anything about which he swore falsely; he shall make restitution for it in full and add to it one-fifth more. He shall give it to the one to whom it belongs on the day he presents his guilt offering.
Look closely at verse 5,“he shall make restitution for it in full and add to it one-fifth more“.

The Bible Quiz, you ready with your modern version?

Will you get an A or an F?
I got questions,
but do you have the answers
With your modern Bibles?
As part of our series in exposing the differences with the modern versions of the Bibles, we have put together a short quiz to help show you a small sampling of what we have found. There are literally thousands of changes in these modern versions, and in some cases entire verses have been removed.
However, some modern Bibles do have extensive footnotes, while others have none, and, if you are unfortunate and own a copy without footnotes or cross references in them, then you will have no way of knowing what has been removed, or in some cases added.
This also applies to computer bible software and online reading.
In addition, some of these changes are downright dangerous, and as the bible clearly states:
Revelation 22:18-19 KJV (18) For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: (19) And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Before you begin, please grab a hard copy of your bible in order to see if you can answer the followings questions from the listed verses alone.
For this exercise please use any modern Bible such as; NASB, NIV, ESV, TNIV, RSV. Click here to read the entire article…

Verse Comparison in second half of article!
As of late, our team here at the Chronicle Watch has been researching the different Bible versions that exists on the market today. We have been buying and comparing multiple copies of different versions verses by verse. As we find the differences, we take note then dive down into the Greek and Hebrew meaning of the words in order to understand the differences of translation.
In addition to the changes that we find, we have also been encountering section of verses stripped completely out of certain Bibles ( more on this later ).
One issue we will be sharing with you shortly is about is a Professor named Virginia Ramey Mollenkott who has advocated for LGBT rights and Christian feminism. In addition, she has also contributed major studies on the feminine imagery for God in the Bible, and is in support of gender inclusive language for the scriptures.
With that being said, Virginia Ramey Mollenkott also served as a stylistic consultant for the New International Version of the Bible and is an active member of the Evangelical and Ecumenical Women’s Caucus and Christian Lesbians OUT.
What we would like to share with you now is some interesting information we came across by an author by the name of Carl Graham.
Before you start, make sure you have a copy of your Bible in hand in order to cross reference everything you come across in any of the articles we post in regards to the scriptures. Click here to read the entire article…

Come on, don't be shy, share with us your comments...
Which version of the Bible do you read and why?
With all the variations modern Bible translations in society today, we here at The Chronicle Watch are curious as to which version of the Bible each of you read and why?
This question stems from a new project we here at The Chronicle Watch have started to undertake in order to get a deeper understanding of God’s word (hence the lack of posting from the guys at TCW) and some of our findings have been astonishing to say the least, especially with the different translations of the modern day Bibles. I Love the World, Yet I’m a Christian

Over these last few weeks I have been hearing from far too many so-called Christians that it is acceptable to use modern day speech; speech that is laden with the world, speech that is vulgar and crude, speech one would not use in front of their grandmother, yet, speech they have no issues using in front of their co-workers, friends or strangers even though they proclaim to be followers of Jesus Christ.
