15-Year-Old Egyptian Convert to Christianity Sends Plea to Obama

CAIRO, EGYPT (ANS) — Dina el-Gowhary, a 15-year-old Egyptian girl who converted from Islam to Christianity, has sent a plea to President Barack Obama, complaining of mistreatment by the Egyptian Government and asking for his mediation.
This has been revealed in a story by Mary Abdelmassih and posted on the Assyrian International News Agency website — www.aina.org.
“Mr. President Obama,” Dina wrote, “we are a minority in Egypt. We are treated very badly. You said that the Muslim minority in America are treated very well, so why are we not treated here likewise? We are imprisoned in our own home because Muslim clerics called for the murder of my father, and now the Government has set for us a new prison; we are imprisoned in our own country.”
Abdelmassih stated that the handwritten Arabic letter, posted on Coptic websites, also says “I am 15 years old but I still have hope that my message will reach President Obama.” Click here to read the entire article…

Speaking as Western leaders gathered in Kabul for Thursday’s swearing-in of President Hamid Karzai, US President Barack Obama said his forthcoming announcement about the war in Afghanistan will include his intent for a complete troop withdrawal in the immediate future.
“I am confident that when I announce my decision the American people will have a lot of clarity about what we are doing, how we are going to succeed… and most importantly what’s the endgame on this thing,” he told CNN.

This news was released from the Home Office by Parliament this week.
Since April 2007, 13 Islamic terror suspects have collected £611,470 – – approximately $1,040,000 while under house arrest for accomodations, taxes, utlity bills, prepaid telephone cards, phone bills, and food.
In addition to having their expenses paid while they are free to walk around Piccadilly Circus, nine receive public welfare and all receive additional sums in benefits.
This means that the average terrorist in British custody makes over $100,000 a year tax free.

That’s the word from Italy as“foreign” kebab is being kicked out of Italian cities, compliments of the center-right Government of Silvio Berlusconi.
The drive to halt Italians from eating hala foods has been described by the Left and leading chefs as “gastronomic racism.”

It now seems that our military is in the business of silencing the freedom of speech of anyone who even dares to speak out against their commander in chief, Mr. Obama.
RALEIGH, N.C. – The U.S. Army plans to prevent media from covering Sarah Palin’s appearance at Fort Bragg, fearing the event will turn into political grandstanding against President Barack Obama, officials said Thursday.
… McCollum said the Army did not want the Monday event to become a platform to express political opinions “directed against the commander in chief.”
What I find interesting [sickening] is that our military leaders, the defenders of the free republic, will not allow a patriot, Sarah Palin, to speak out in support of our troops, while their commander in chief is doing everything in his power to not support the troops he is suppose to be commanding.

Teaching Kids to “Respect Other Views” by Making Them Not Have Any of Their Own

First came the reading list of four books: one about an African-American, one on an Asian- or Hispanic-American, one on a Native American, and one–amazingly enough–a free choice.
Then came the first book read in class on an African-American runner.
By the way, it should be understood that all these readings are not about a group of youngsters from all races, religions, and creeds, playing together while getting along but rather a focus on minorities in isolation rather than as part of the whole big society.
And next came the second book read in class, portraying the “horrors” of Japanese internment in the United States during World War Two.
By this point, my 10-year-old son piped up that he thought internment was necessary as a war-time measure. Whether or not this position is “correct,” it is certainly one that wasn’t going to be made otherwise in that classroom. Click here to read the entire article…
