Ronald Wilson Reagan, Mmm Mmm Mmm

Ronald Reagan
Let’s take a trip in the wayback machine, back to the fall of 1985. Imagine how absolutely apoplectic the left in United States would have been if a teacher was leading her class in singing this:
Mmm, mmm, mmm
Ronald Wilson Reagan
He said that tax cuts were a must
To make our economy robust.
Mmm, mmm, mmm
Ronald Wilson Reagan
He said we must be free today
Free to worship, earn and play.
Mmm, mmm, mmm
Ronald Wilson Reagan
He said that we must take a stand
Against communists in every land.
Mmm, mmm, mmm
Ronald Wilson Reagan
He said red, yellow, black, or white
The unborn are precious in Jesus’ sight.
Mmm, mmm, mmm
Ronald Wilson Reagan
Yes!
Mmm, mmm, mmm
Ronald Wilson Reagan
If you compare the words I wrote in honor of Reagan here with the words of the Obama version, you will see a distinct difference. Where the Obama version includes the socialist buzzwords of fairness and equality (meaning equally miserable), the Reagan version captures the essence of what Reagan was about: respect for life, protection against tyranny, and freedom to worship.
Dark days are upon those of us who still believe in the values Ronald Reagan stood for. Let this Ode to Reagan be a glimmer of light from the Shining City on a Hill.
