England be Careful!

Over the last few months my eyes have been looking towards England in regards to their policies towards Islamic law within their lands, especially as Sharia is becoming more widely accepted by the non-Muslim population.

Increasing numbers of non-Muslims are turning to Sharia courts to resolve commercial disputes and other civil matters, The Times has learnt.

The Muslim Arbitration Tribunal (MAT) said that 5 per cent of its cases involved non-Muslims who were using the courts because they were less cumbersome and more informal than the English legal system.

…the tribunal had adjudicated on at least 20 cases involving non-Muslims so far this year. The rulings of the tribunal are legally binding, provided that both parties agree to that condition at the beginning of any hearing.

…the MAT is planning to triple the number of its courts by setting up in ten new British cities by the end of the year. It will expand its network further by acting as an advisory body to dozens of other Islamic courts, with the intention of achieving national consensus over rulings and procedures.

…the MAT also rules on commercial matters and mediates over forced marriages and domestic violence.

If Sharia is ever fully embraced and implemented in Britain as the only law of the land, do the people living in that nation understand what they will except under strict Islamic law?

To further understand what can be expected under this rule of law we will look to people and countries that embrace it in its entirety without question.

Hardline Islamic penal codes, such as the amputation of limbs as punishment for theft, would make Britain a safer and better place, the founder of the country’s oldest sharia court has told The Times.

…Acknowledging the controversy surrounding any notion of support for hardline Islamic law in Britain, he said that he was merely expressing his point of view as a devout Muslim.

SHAKIR: And (as for) the man who steals and the woman who steals, cut off their hands as a punishment for what they have earned, an exemplary punishment from Allah; and Allah is Mighty, Wise.

Three translations stating that in the Qur’an this practice is lawful and should be followed to set an example to others. ^[1]

Jeans are Indecent Apparel

Depending on who is interrupting the Qur’an, woman wearing jeans will be subject to public flogging as jeans are considered to be indecent apparel according to whoever is enforcing Sharia law.

Several of those punished were from the mainly Christian and animist south, Ms Hussein said.

Non-Muslims are not supposed to be subject to Islamic law, even in Khartoum and other parts of the mainly Muslim north.

…”I was wearing trousers and a blouse and the 10 girls who were lashed were wearing like me, there was no difference,” she told the BBC’s Arabic service.

Ms Hussein said some women pleaded guilty to “get it over with” but others, including herself, chose to speak to their lawyers and are awaiting their fates.

Under Sharia law in Khartoum, the normal punishment for “indecent” dressing is 40 lashes. ^[2]

Even though non-Muslims are not supposed to be subject to Islamic law, they were punished regardless. Keep that in mind when they tell you that Sharia law will only affect Muslims.

Alcohol is Forbidden

A Muslim woman who worked as a model was today sentenced to be whipped six times and pay a fine of RM5,000 for consuming alcohol last year. ^[3]

PICKTHAL: O ye who believe! Strong drink and games of chance and idols and divining arrows are only an infamy of Satan’s handiwork. Leave it aside in order that ye may succeed.

Again, two translations, both state that alcohol is forbidden ( abomination ) ^[4] .

TEHRAN, Iran — Members of Iran’s feared Basij militia forcibly marry female virgin prisoners the night before scheduled executions, raping their new “wives” and making it religiously acceptable to execute them, a self-professed member of the paramilitary group said.

…In the Islamic Republic of Iran it is illegal to execute a woman if she is a virgin, the former guard told the newspaper. So the government arranges “wedding” ceremonies to be conducted the night before executions, and prisoners are forced to have sexual intercourse with a guard.

Raped by her new “husband,” a female prisoner is now fit to be put to death.

Final Thoughts

After reviewing the punishments that are acceptable under Sharia law, I would have to say that England better be very careful what they wish for.  I hope and pray that those of us here in America can look to England and learn what is happening their country before it happens here in our country – the United States.

For those of us here in America that still believe in the Constitution and understand what is at stake, we need to make sure that we boldly voice our positions that Sharia law has no place in America.

America is a nation that accepts all peoples and races, but as far as the rule of law, there is only one law, the US law as defined by the constitution of our country – the United States of America.
