Are we really this blind as a nation?

Have we become so blind as a people that we willfully accept lies without questions, without challenge, without keeping those in charge accountable?

Second Issue

Time for you to be quiet

Over the last few months I have shared many issues in regards as to what is happening around our country. We are seeing our freedom of speech being stripped away and silenced each and every day by those who swore to protect our rights under the constitution in which they say they serve.

Yet I keep seeing more regulation and proposed laws to take away what they say they protect.

I just came across this article that is yet again another attempt to strip us of our freedom of speech by wanting to ban us from informing others of the news that we read on our blogs.

How To Save The Newspapers, Vol. XII: Outlaw Linking
http://www.techcrunch.com/

Expanding copyright law to bar online access to copyrighted materials without the copyright holder’s consent, or to bar linking to or paraphrasing copyrighted materials without the copyright holder’s consent . . .

Let me repeat that. He wants to “bar linking” to newspaper articles or any copyrighted material without the “copyright holder’s consent.” I am sorry Judge Posner, but I don’t need to ask your permission to link to your blog post or to a newspaper article online. That is just the way the Web works. If newspapers don’t like it, they don’t need to be on the Web.

Much of what Posner wants to outlaw is public discourse. Why is it okay for people to talk about the day’s news in a bar or barber shop, but not online? People should be able to discuss the day’s news on the Web without fear of violating copyright law. The natural way people discuss things on the Web is by quoting and linking to the source. (Except maybe Posner, he doesn’t seem to link to much of anything in his blog posts).

Third Issue

Who do they ( DHS ) now consider terrorists under this current administration?

Let’s see shall we?

U.S. military teaches ‘protesters’ are ‘low-level terrorists’
Become ‘dangerous citizen’ by ‘repeating the very phrases Founding Fathers used’
http://www.wnd.com/

But Thompson noted that the report also targeted as “potential terrorists” Americans who:

  • Oppose abortion
  • Oppose same-sex marriage
  • Oppose restrictions on firearms
  • Oppose lax immigration laws
  • Oppose the policies of President Obama regarding immigration, citizenship, and the expansion of social programs
  • Oppose continuation of free trade agreements
  • Are suspect of foreign regimes
  • Fear Communist regimes
  • Oppose a “one world” government
  • Bemoan the decline of U.S. stature in the world
  • Are upset with loss of U.S. manufacturing jobs to China and India, and more

Fourth Issue

Sotomayor declared ‘unqualified to serve’
http://www.wnd.com/

Charmaine Yoest, president of Americans United for Life, the nation’s oldest pro-life legal organization, told the committee Sotomayor’s judicial philosophy is “far outside of the mainstream” and that her confirmation will radically shift the dynamics of the Supreme Court.

Yoest said the role of a Supreme Court justice is to exercise restraint by applying the law and not direct policy.

“When judges fail to respect their limited role under our Constitution, their decisions merely reflect their personal preferences regarding public policy,” she said.

…Yoest said Sotomayor, who serves on the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals, later implied that as a judge, she does not choose to see all of the facts in cases before her: “Personal experiences affect the facts that judges choose to see. … I simply do not know exactly what that difference will be in my judging. But I accept there will be some based on my gender and my Latina heritage.”

Final Thoughts

Health care takeover, corporate takeover, banking takeover, corrupt cabinet members not qualified to serve, taxation to the point of no return, silencing of citizens all done under the guise of change with the current administration. Yet not a single sole from the media screams at the top of their lungs saying enough already.

Are you now starting to see a pattern here? If you look to Venezuela, you are looking directly into a mirror of what is going to happen to this country if Obama is continued to do whatever he see fit.

Honestly, lifting a pen, your phone or clicking your mouse is not that difficult. If we can find the time to watch Monday night football, the baseball game or basketball playoffs, we can find the time to make a phone call to voice your concerns with those who are in charge. We can easily make the time to talk to our friends, co-workers and family about what is going on in this country to help raise awareness.

You CAN make a difference, but the question is, are you willing too?

All it takes is a few minutes to voice your concerns. You can even do it in between commercials; it is really that easy…

Yes, we really are this blind as a nation. Barack Obama told us exactly what he was going to do when he was running for President, and now he is doing what he said he would do. The American people were warned that this man was the most liberal member of the U.S. Senate. The American people were warned that this man was the most pro-abortion man who had ever been nominated for President. The American people were warned that this man was a disciple of Saul Alinsky (the author of "Rules for Radicals"), an associate of Bill Ayers, and a follower of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. The majority of the American people didn't care. Now we as a nation are paying the price, and the policies that Congress and the President are ramming through will have an impact that will be felt by us, our children, and our childrens' children.

You are absolutely right. We must take action. Not only do we need to call and write, but we need to work to get people elected on the local and national level that can one day start to undo the damage that's being done and prevent more of it.

Our blindness is a direct result of our leftist public education system.

Each year millions of new socialists are created thanks to the radical Dems. and union leaders that control the system from top to bottom.

Even conservatives roll the dice by allowing their children to go to these cesspools of "learning" (brainwashing).

"Yes, I saw the clip on the Caracas Nine. Afterwards, I even watched the other related clips in Spanish (subtitled in English). Let this biligualist tell you, the way in which Chavez speaks is powerful and compelling, but oh so serpentile. The masses bought his rhetoric about the owners of the media – how they use journalists to lie, lie, lie. Week after week he would spout off about the lying media being "the enemies of the Revolution". Slowly and sadly it came to this: the masses began to riot against journalists on the street to the point of chopping off the fingertips of the ophthalmologist trying desperately to give sight to the blind.

Hitler said if you tell a lie often enough and long enough people will believe it.

As a youth I studied how some cults were so effective at brainwashing. Repetition is always used as a base alongside authoritative speech."
