What is happening to our nation?

Military personnel threw away, and ultimately burned, confiscated Bibles that were printed in the two most common Afghan languages amid concern they would be used to try to convert Afghans, a Defense Department spokesman said Tuesday.

Military officers considered sending the Bibles back to the church, he said, but they worried the church would turn around and send them to another organization in Afghanistan — giving the impression that they had been distributed by the U.S. government.

When I read the above article, I ask myself these questions with a grieved heart:

• Where is the outrage from the Church?
• Where are the cries from the Christian men and women over the desecration of the bible they say they hold dear to them?
• Where is the outrage from the politicians that claim to follow the Christian faith?
• Why does our government not take a stance for the love of Christ, to share the Good news?

If we truly wanted to change the opinions of the US in the view of the world, then what better than to spread the love of Jesus, and teach others of His love and kindness that He shows to all?

Instead we have a complete and total denial of our Christian heritage and principles to which this country was founded.

When I see this outright denial I remember the words of Jesus:

If we deny Him before men, He will deny us before His Father.

When you think about this, is it any wonder why our nation is collapsing. As the Bibles burn, we sit in silence, yet when anyone even allegedly touches the Koran in a disrespectful way, they rage in fury.

In addition to the Koran, our military is ordered not to defile the Koran or treat it with any contempt what so ever, as it will not be tolerated.

When you handle the Koran, which we give to all the prisoners, Koran, prayer beads — and we broadcast their prayer over the loudspeaker five times a day — when you handle the Koran, you have to use gloves and you have to use both hands because otherwise you would insult the Islamic faith.

Yet our own leaders have no issue at all destroying and burning the Christian bible which this nation is suppose to hold in high regard.

And while the Christian bibles go up in flames, not a single soul speaks out against it. Not a single word from the pulpits, the media, the president or even congress over the destruction of our most beloved book, the Holy Bible; which our leaders swore an oath upon before taking office.

On top of all this, the Pentagon goes one step further to no longer having a quote from the Bible on the cover page of their daily intelligence briefings as they did under the Bush administration.

WASHINGTON – The Pentagon said Monday it no longer includes a Bible quote on the cover page of daily intelligence briefings it sends to the White House as was practice during the Bush administration.

Final Thoughts

Our current administration is not only bringing shame to this nation, but they are doing everything in their power to remove the God of Israel from the very fiber of our society, and silence anyone that holds different views from the agendas they wish to enforce.

I pray that God will wake the people of this country up before it is too late. I pray that the men and women of this nation will stand up, and speak out against these atrocities as they occur. I can only hope that the citizens of this nation will take heed to the events that are currently happening before we lose every single freedom that the brave men and women, past and present, have died for to protect this great nation. We have taken our freedoms for granted for far too long, and now we are a brink of losing the very freedoms we love so much.

I again, am at a loss for words…
